We are looking for an exceptionally talented Project Manager with a passionate, proactive 'hands on approach'.

Charge Cars is a British company based in London and we are passionate about iconic automobile classics! Our team has extensive experience in the development of luxury and high performance vehicles. Our engineers contributed to various projects for McLaren Automotive, Jaguar Land Rover and F1 Racing Teams.

We redefine design classics in the form of brand new vehicles using cutting edge technology. We believe in an emission-free future while giving ultimate performance to epic auto legends.

What you'll do

You'll take ownership for our end to end project plans for the entire vehicle, focusing on the bigger picture and be a key player in our success from R&D to production.

This will include managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to stakeholders with a focus on optimising team performance and driving overall performance of the project ensuring deadlines are met, on time and to budget.

Your day-to-day tasks

  • Agree objectives and work closely with the Senior Team, own, manage and drive the operational aspects of the projects, provide advice on the management of the projects and set out appropriate project plans
  • Provide overall organisation of the agreed projects ensuring all of the aims of the project are met
  • Create project timelines and gateways to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate and influence across the multiple teams and instil ownership and accountability to Team Leaders
  • Provide day to day management, guidance, and support to the team to ensure the team are working together to achieve the objectives
  • Provide advice and oversee that the most efficient resources are used and that the different interests involved are satisfied
  • Ensure that the agreed quality standards are met
  • Utilise IT Project Plans to keep track of people and progress
  • Take on the role of ambassador driving continuous improvement in project management, people, safety, and efficiency.

What we’re looking for

  • A great communicator and team player with a 'can do, will do' attitude
  • Strong leadership, organisational and analytical skills coupled with great communication skills and commercial awareness
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills with the ability to lead, develop and motivate a team
  • Well-developed influencing skills with the ability to quickly forge quality working relationships at all levels
  • Flexible with the ability to multi task several projects and also work within a changing environment and manage changing priorities
  • Degree or equivalent in engineering and or professional qualifications within Project Management
  • A high level of competence and practical application of Project Management expertise ideally within the automotive industry
  • Excellent IT Microsoft Office and Project Management IT skills e.g. Microsoft Project
  • Experience in PLM systems and task management tools
  • A proactive approach to further your development
