We now have an opportunity for a Sales Manager to join the Buyacar team

Job Description

The sales team are the frontline in answering queries from our customers about buying a car, finance that is available to them and additional extras that they might be interested in such as paint insurance and warranties.The team are highly engaged and experienced.

We operate in pods, working closely with our colleagues in the Buying and Customer Operations teams to resolve issues quickly for the customer and get their car delivered within our 1-2 week target timeframe.

We are constantly reviewing our processes to ensure that they are delivering the best possible service to our customers and we have plans for doing much more over the coming 12 months

This role is instrumental in supporting the Sales Director in their role making sure our teams feel supported and act as the escalation point for customers when needed, the sales managers are at the frontline of our business and are key to ensuring that the Sales Director receives timely and accurate feedback regarding the performance of the teams, what processes are working and those which are not.

As Telesales Manager you'll be leading a team of 5 to 10 sales executives who are front line support agents providing advice and guidance to our customers. Our team are enthusiastic, bright and are always striving to improve our service

As Telesales Manager you will lead the team in ensuring that sales targets are met

  • You'll build trusted and effective relationships with each member of your team to ensure that you are both getting the best from the relationship
  • You'll support your team with coaching and performance management techniques to help get the best performance and outputs from them
  • You'll host one to one meetings with the team to ensure they feel properly supported and also conduct performance reviews with them regularly and provide them with informative and evidenced feedback to help them improve and progress
  • You'll work closely with our sales capability manager to ensure that we are training and upskilling in our teams with new ways of working, automation, changes to products etc
  • You'll be able to motivate the team through periods of high volume, challenges with car availability and changes that may happen along the way
  • Our team are growing and expanding quickly, you'll be at the forefront of our recruitment ensuring that we are sourcing and appointing the best candidates in the market
  • You'll work alongside the Sales Capability manager to ensure they are inducted and welcomed to the team in the best possible way


  • You'll have experience of leading a sales / customer service team, you'll be able to tell us how you motivated and supported your teams and what they achieved as a result of your actions
  • You'll have experience of automation and changes to a business which meant different ways of working and how you imbedded those changes
  • You'll be able to demonstrate that you are knowledgeable about the car industry and what changes you would like to see happen in the team
