Technical Project Manager

Stratford + Remote

It's the creation of connected customer experience through the design of products and services, based upon the latest cloud technologies, API's Mobile applications and more. As focus on electrification and autonomous vehicles continues to increase, the value of delivering connectivity to customers becomes ever more important.

An exciting opportunity has come up to become part of our exciting product team as Technical Project Manager, constantly focusing on our customer. You will be part of a development team delivering advanced features and functions for the connected cars of tomorrow, applying the latest technology in cloud environments, wireless communications and IT security (cybersecurity). You will be shaping the new automotive digital age around electrification, connectivity, vehicle-to-X, and much more.

As Technical Project Manager you will:

  • Responsibility for the timely introduction of Connected Vehicle features to Ford production plants as well as to end customers, including through over-the-air technology
  • Co-ordination and management of Connected Vehicle feature development in terms of project progress against targets
  • Development of plans to resolve issues in the event of deviations from the targets, and implementation of measures
  • Creation of complex feature development plans and presentation of project status in cross-functional global management meetings.

We are looking for:

  • Experience in IT backend interfaces, mobile radio technologies and vehicle bus systems (CAN, Ethernet, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of product and software development, ideally of networked vehicle functions
  • A genuine passion, interest and curiosity in connectivity and how it will benefit Ford and its customers now and in the future.
  • Experience of working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders in a national (preferably global) environment
  • German language skills are advantageous
  • Education is important to us; ideally, you’ll have a Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent in hand, but if that’s not the case (and you have experience/ skills you feel are relevant and beneficial to the role) we’re interested to hear from you
